Pattern
This pillow is knit in the round as a tube. Once finished knitting, the pillow is inserted, and the two ends are sewn shut using the leftover yarn from the cast-on/cast-off.
Cast on 70 stitches in the round using the long-tail cast-on method. Leave a long enough tail to use later to sew the pillow together. PM to mark BOR.
This pattern follows a 4-row repeat.
Row 1: K10, P1, K2, P1, K3, P1, K3, P1, K2, P1, K to the end of the round
Row 2: K8, P1, K3, P1, K1, P1, K5, P1, K1, P1, K3, P1, K to the end of the round.
Row 3: K10, P1, K4, P1, K3, P1, K4, P1, K to the end of the round.
Row 4: K8, P1, K3, P1, K3, P1, K1, P1, K3, P1, K3, P1, K to the end of the round
Repeat rows 1-4 until your work measures 16 inches. Cast off, leaving a tail long enough to use to sew the opening of the pillow together once inserted.
Once finished blocking, insert the pillow into your knit tube. Using your craft needle and cast-on/cast-off yarn ends, sew the top and the bottom of the pillow closed with the insert inside. Tie off and weave in any loose ends.
